About Vietnamese Physicians, Dentists, Pharmacists Association of Washington State

The association was founded on April 09, 1993. Initially, it was only for Vietnamese physicians of Washington State. After a few years into its own journey, the association took a new direction to enlarge its scope and coverage by admitting Vietnamese American Dentists and Pharmacists. Since then, numerous changes and transformations have taken place. It has become the Vietnamese Physicians, Dentists and Pharmacists Association of Washington State (VPDPAWS). At the current count, VPDPAWS has nearly 70 active members and growing. About 50% of its members are MD's, while the remainder are about equal numbers of PharmD's and DDS/DMD's. One of the the association missions is to constantly enhance its member's medical knowledge through frequent continuing medical education (CME). We promote collegial relationship between Vietnamese American health providers, thus, bettering our local community.
